Sculptural Face Massage at Sol Alchemy Studio has been years in the making, but honestly, so worth the wait!

It all started with the desire to learn more about holistic and natural approaches to aging through modalities like Face Yoga but then transformed into gaining a skill set that could be shared with others. It was then perfected by specialised training from multiple Facial Massage Academies that zero in on specific areas of concern such as Jaw Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Buccal and non-invasive Blepharoplasty. How cool is that?

The type of facial massage offered here is unlike any other in our area.

It is a completely natural Facial Massage technique that is uplifting, rejuvenating and oh, so relaxing. So relaxing in fact, that most clients find themselves melting into the massage table. Every massage is individualized for each client and curated by design under the expertise of the practitioner.

What sets our studio apart is not only the technique used but also a unique element added after the massage. Each client will be shown Face Yoga exercises to practice at home to reinforce the effects of the massage by a fully certified Face Yoga Method teacher. It really doesn’t get any better than that.

WHAT IS SCULPTURAL FACE MASSAGE?

Sculptural Face Massage is a pain-free, holistic approach that uses the power of touch to activate internal resources of the body for natural rejuvenation. It increases blood flow bringing fresh nutrients to the skin, improves muscle tone, releases fascial adhesions and increases lymphatic drainage, which gives a prolonged lifting effect to the face, neck and décolleté. Literally this type of facial massage is drawing your beauty from the inside out.

Some clients prefer the focus to be on the Eye Area which is a region that has very delicate skin and usually shows the first signs of aging. This technique involves extremely specialized training focused not only on the eyes but the entire area around them, including the forehead, temples and scalp. By releasing tension in these zones, eye bags, Crow’s feet, “11” lines and horizontal forehead lines don’t stand a chance.

  • This technique can also incorporate Buccal massage if clients choose it. We carry so much tension in our jaws and this can surface in symptoms like grinding our teeth at night, only chewing food on one side or frequently clenching our jaw without realizing it. Tension over time builds up and can cause tightness, pain, shortening of the muscles and a sagging jawline. Buccal massage helps to relieve the tension and restore function in this stressed area.

    We also offer a paradigm-shifting approach to alleviating jaw tension. It is considered Beyond Buccal and at this point is only offered as a “Case Study” package. This technique involves elements of Sculptural Face Massage but also includes gentle massage of the fascia chains connected to the jaw itself. What does that mean exactly? It means, unlike the jaw release techniques currently all over social media, you will have a relaxing massage involving fascia chain release of the feet, legs, diaphragm, arms and hands. The end results within the Case Studies so far have been amazing. Also of note, if there is excessive chronic jaw tension, we may start with these areas first before any jaw contact.
